Terms and conditions of the Film-making Contest
Life in colours of a rainbow

1. GENERAL TERMS
1. The Contest is being organised by Equality Foundation.
2. The Contest is being held as part of organisational preparations for EuroPride 2010 festival in Warsaw.
3. The rules of the Contest are being defined by the present terms and conditions, which are in force between the beginning and an end of the Contest.
4. Delivery or submission of video created for the Contest with a participation statement (which is defined by the paragraph 2.10 of these terms and conditions) is tantamount to an agreement of a Participant of the Contest with the present terms and conditions.
5. The Contest is open to anyone wishing to participate.
6. The Contest runs until 15th February 2010.
2. FILMS
1. Each Participant may submit a maximum number of three separate videos.
2. The submitted films shall be competing with each other in the following categories of the Contest:
Humorous videos,
Coming out,
Social responsibility,
Pride parades,
LGBTQ life.
3. Submitted videos can be created with the use of any possible film-making technique, with the use of any equipment available.
4. Admitted to the Contest shall be only the videos sent in digital form whose size does not exceed 4 MB.
5. Each of the submitted films must not contain more than 3 minutes of video material.
6. Films that have been previously exhibited or awarded in other competitions shall not be admitted to the Contest.
7. The deadline for submission of video materials passes on 31st January 2010. The date and time of submission is defined by the date of receipt of the work to the e-mail address of the Contest’s jury.
8. Submitted videos should be accompanied by the following information:
Contest’s title, film’s title, category, Participant’s full name, contact information (home address, phone number and/or e-mail address).
9. The Contest’s Organizer hereby informs Participants that their personal data will be stored and processed by Equality Foundation on the basis of participants’ freely expressed consent, only in connection with implementation of the Contest’s regulations. Each participant has a right to inspect their personal data and amend them if needed.
10. Films should be sent online directly to the following e-mail address:
film@europride2010.eu . E-mail should contain the following note in its title: Film-making Contest „Life in colours of a rainbow”.
11. Films shall be evaluated and awarded by online users through the submission of votes on the following website:
www.europride2010.eu .
3. CONTEST’S TIMETABLE
1. Deadline for submission of video materials by the Contest’s Participants: 31.01.2010 r.
2. Deadline for voting by online users for their favourite films: 14.02.2010 r.
3. Day of the public announcement of the Contest’s results: 14.02.2010r.
4. Public projection of films sent by Participants of the Film-making Contest and official handing out of prizes will be held during the film festival which is organised as one of the events of EuroPride 2010.
4. PRIZES
1. Winner of the first place in any of the five categories shall receive a prize in form of professional film-making equipment.
2. The Contest’s Organizer reserves the right not to award the first place to a Participant who created his or her film with the use of low quality video materials.
3. Winners shall be informed about the results of the Contest via e-mail or through a traditional post service.
5. USE OF VIDEO MATERIALS
1. Submission of films is tantamount with expressing consent that these films might be freely used by the Contest’s Organizer in relation with EuroPride 2010 festival. Contest’s Organizer reserves the right to publish submitted films (whilst describing them with the names of authors of these films) on websites, TV or in any other form.
2. Films of an exceptional technical and substantive merit shall be stored in a video materials database of the Equality Foundation and might be subsequently used after the end of the EuroPride 2010 festival. Also in these cases, the published films shall be described with authors’ names.
6. CLOSING TERMS
1. Submission of films for the Contest is tantamount with agreement of the Participants with terms and conditions of the Contest, as well as, with a statement that submitted films are original. If the submitted film contains a portrait depiction of a specific person, an author of a film must have his or her permission to disseminate this depiction.
2. Submitted films shall not be returned back to participants and they shall remain in the Equality Foundation’s collection.
3. The Contest’s Organizer does not accept liability for any damage caused by the publication of false personal data or any other false information based on the declarations made by the participants.
4. Decisions of the Contest’s jury are final and binding on all Participants.
